Performance Boost: Syneco and LEAD Consult’s joint efforts enhance ETRM Allegro system
Seamless collaboration leads to marked progress in stability and efficiency of Syneco’s energy trading platform
LEAD Consult, a consultancy firm specializing in technology optimization, proudly announces its successful collaboration with Syneco Trading GmbH, a leading municipal energy procurement company. Together, they have achieved significant improvements in the performance and stability of Syneco’s Energy Trading and Risk Management Allegro 8 system. The project was focused on three key areas: reducing unnecessary data in Allegro, utilizing existing developments and automating processes & improving performance, whereas the ultimate objective was to enable the business to concentrate more on its core operations and less on system management.
LEAD Consult and Syneco worked closely to streamline data management within Allegro, the core platform for energy trading operations. This involved implementing archiving substantial amount of data and refining processes to generate less data in key database tables, thereby optimizing system performance and storage efficiency.
The collaboration involved leveraging Syneco’s already existing developments to maximize efficiency and effectiveness. LEAD Consult assisted Syneco’s business team in testing and extending portfolio configurations within the existing developments and customizations, ensuring seamless integration and minimizing redundancy.
Through innovative solutions, LEAD Consult and Syneco have automated critical processes, saving valuable time and resources. This included the development of new extensions to automate tasks, alongside configuring existing extensions to improve performance and stability, resulting in more reliable processes and reduced performance fluctuations.
“Due to the increasingly small-scale trading business, it was necessary to carry out a performance project. Thanks to Lead Consult’s systemic and procedural expertise, it was possible to identify and implement the relevant measures with the most impact and thus make the project successful”, commented Dionys Laue-Pohl, Chief Information Officer at Syneco Trading GmbH and Project manager for the program.
“Working closely with Syneco on this project underscores our commitment to fostering a collaborative partnership rather than merely acting as external consultants,” emphasized Lyudmil Zahariev, Head of Consulting at LEAD Consult. “By aligning our goals and strategies, we’ve been able to harness the collective expertise and resources of both teams, resulting in meaningful improvements in system performance and stability through targeted initiatives aimed at optimizing data management and process automation.”
The outcomes of the project have been tangible and impactful. Syneco has experienced improved efficiency, reduced data overhead, and enhanced reliability in its ETRM system, empowering the company to navigate the dynamic energy trading landscape with greater agility and confidence.
The success of this collaborative endeavor underscores the value of strategic partnerships and targeted initiatives in driving technological innovation and operational excellence within the energy trading sector.
