LEAD Consult joins European Utility Week 2018

Vienna, Austria, November 2018 – LEAD Consult, official partner of the vendor of the gold standard in the commodity management – Allegro, took part in this year’s European Utility Week represented by one of its founders and managing directors – Dragomir Stanchev. The exhibition, which hosts all key players in the smart energy ecosystem, came together to discuss the European strategy to achieve a smooth transition towards a low carbon energy supply.

Stanchev was part of a 3-day event that offered a strategic and policy forming environment, serving every level of the smart energy value chain. “We at LEAD Consult are delighted to be part of the most valuable solution providers and to have the opportunity to address the key business challenges in the Summit programme”, the head of IT said. The event, seen as business, innovation, networking and information platform, is an annual meeting place to thrash out strategies and do business to help drive efficiencies in meeting their sustainable development goals.

A total of 12000 industry experts, 600+ exhibitors, 400+ speakers and 500+ utilities were welcomed at the event, which offered a strategic and policy forming environment, serving every level of the smart energy value chain. “We are very happy with the level of primary market involvement – the way that utilities embraced the 2018 event is very rewarding. We also have more involvement from gas grid operators, and that reflects the way that the market is moving”, Paddy Young, Group Director, European Utility Week noted.

Different tracks and themes, offering the platform to brainstorm and strategize about the industry’s challenges ahead, were also part of the programme. Speakers included Edouard Sauvage, CEO of GRDF, Signe Horn Rosted, VP of Energinet and Francesco Venturini, CEO of Enel X, among others.

As part of the programme, the European Utility Week also included a new Energy Markets event, specifically designed for gas & power traders, heads of trading, settlement specialists, IT managers, market analysts, TSOs and DSOs, at which LEAD Consult was also part of. “We’re committed to sustainability and we always strive to innovate in that direction”, Stanchev noted. The seminar explored also future power and gas markets, the energy trading market, price drivers and the future market design.
